Roots in Northern Minnesota.

Chapter 1: As the son of two park rangers, I built a lot of forts as a kid.

Chapter 2: After a liberal arts undergrad, I moved to the Bay Area and earned an MBA, while working for Autodesk, a software giant.

Chapter 3: Searching for more freedom, I gave away most of what I owned, left my job, and moved into my truck, with my dog Bea.

Chapter 4: After five years and a quarter million miles exploring the West, I landed in Bend, Oregon, where I plan to stay for a while.

Chapter 5: While writing my first book, I’m trying to not lose sight of the important things, like pow days with friends.
